Obverse lettering لا الـه لا الله وحــده لا شريك له بسم الله ضرب هذا الدرهم بالاندلس سنة ثلث وستين وثلثمئة
(Translation: There is no God but God alone, He has no partner. In the name of God, this dirham was struck in al-Andalus in the year three hundred and sixty three)
Reverse description Entirely epigraphic design in Kufic Arabic script, arranged in multiple horizontal registers across the central field, consistent with Andalusian Umayyad dinar coinage. The central area bears the name and titles of Caliph al-Hakam II — al-Mustansir billah — together with the name Yahya, disposed across three lines. A circular marginal legend containing a Quranic verse (Quran 9:33) runs along the inner border, enclosed within a plain outer rim. The flan is slightly irregular, characteristic of hammered gold issues struck at Madinat al-Zahra.
