Obverse description Entirely epigraphic design in the Andalusian Umayyad tradition, with multiple horizontal lines of Arabic Kufic script arranged across the central field. The text is divided into three registers separated by faint linear rulings, containing the Shahada and mint/date formula. A circular marginal legend in Arabic script runs along the inner border, enclosed within a plain outer rim. The flan is irregular, typical of hammered gold coinage of al-Andalus.

Reverse description Entirely epigraphic design in Kufic Arabic script, arranged in multiple horizontal registers across the central field, consistent with Andalusian Umayyad dinar coinage. The central area bears the name and titles of Caliph al-Hakam II — al-Mustansir billah — together with the name Yahya, disposed across three lines. A circular marginal legend containing a Quranic verse (Quran 9:33) runs along the inner border, enclosed within a plain outer rim. The flan is slightly irregular, characteristic of hammered gold issues struck at Madinat al-Zahra.
