The field within the square is densely inscribed with the Almohad profession of faith and the ruler's titulature. The entire design is characteristic of the distinctive Almohad square-in-circle coinage format. |

A circular marginal legend in Arabic script surrounds the square, separated from it by a plain field and enclosed within an outer beaded border. The layout and epigraphy closely mirror the obverse, following the established Almohad and early Hafsid coinage tradition of purely epigraphic design without figural imagery. |
