| Obverse description | Hammered gold dinar of irregular flan with a central rectangular field enclosed by a dotted border. The field contains multiple horizontal lines of Arabic script in the Maghribi cursive style, presenting the Shahada and a Quranic verse (Surah al-Tawbah 9:33). Additional marginal legends in Arabic run along the outer border of the coin. The surface shows the characteristic uneven strike typical of Saadian hammered coinage, with some areas of weak impression at the flan edges. |
