Obverse description Portrait of King Hussein II in intaglio at left, facing right in three-quarter view, framed by an ornate border with floral and guilloche underprint in brown tones. Arabic inscriptions appear at top center identifying the Central Bank of Jordan, with the denomination نصف دينار (Half Dinar) in large Arabic script at center. Two signature facsimiles appear at lower right, with serial number printed in both upper right and lower left corners.

Reverse description Panoramic vignette of the ancient Roman Forum at Jerash stretching across the center of the note, with a colonnade of tall Ionic columns rising at right in fine intaglio engraving. A decorative guilloche rosette panel occupies the left margin, and the denomination fraction '1/2' appears in each corner. The overall color scheme is warm brown on a light ground.
