| Obverse description | Facing lion scalp rendered in high relief, depicted en face with bold, stylized mane radiating outward around the broad skull. The fierce frontal visage displays prominent brow ridges, deep-set eyes, and a wide, flat muzzle characteristic of the Samian artistic tradition. No legend or inscription appears in the field. The naturalistic yet archaic treatment of the lion's features fills the flan, with the mane extending nearly to the coin's edges. |

| Reverse description | Forepart of a bull advancing to the right, rendered with muscular detail; the animal's head is turned to face the viewer with prominent horns. The Greek magistrate's name ΛEONTIΣKOΣ is inscribed in the upper field above the bull's back. A small olive branch appears in the lower right field. The composition is characteristic of Samian Rhodian-standard coinage of the late fourth century BC, with the bull motif serving as the civic type of Samos. |
