Obverse description Bare-headed portrait bust of Germanicus facing right, rendered in finely detailed high relief with naturalistic hair falling in layered locks across the forehead and temples. The effigy presents a youthful, idealised physiognomy consistent with posthumous honorific coinage issued under Caligula. The encircling legend is distributed around the portrait field, reading from lower right to upper left. The style is characteristic of eastern provincial mint production, exhibiting slightly softer engraving than contemporary Roman metropolitan issues.
