Obverse description Eagle standing to right in profile, rendered in archaic Greek style with finely detailed plumage across the wings and body. The bird's head is turned slightly forward, with the beak open and talons firmly planted. The abbreviated ethnic inscription AKRA appears in Greek letters to the right of the figure in the field. The design is set on a plain, slightly concave flan typical of early Sicilian coinage.
