| Description du revers | A full-length enthroned figure of Saint Theodore, patron saint of Sion, is depicted facing forward in a formal, hieratic posture. The saint wears full episcopal vestments including a mitre and cope, holding a crozier in his left hand and a sword upright in his right, with a bell at his feet — attributes closely associated with his iconography in Valais tradition. The figure is rendered in bold relief with fine drapery detail typical of late medieval Swiss hammered silver coinage. The surrounding legend S THEODO PAT` SEDV` identifies the saint in abbreviated Latin, distributed in Gothic majuscule letters around the circumference within a beaded border. |
