Obverse description Horseman advancing to the left, depicted in profile, the rider brandishing a spear held diagonally across the field. The horse is shown in a dynamic trotting pose, rendered in the bold, simplified style characteristic of Thessalian bronze coinage of the early fourth century BC. The flan is irregular and the relief somewhat flat, consistent with hammered provincial production.
