Obverse description Bare laureate head of Apollo facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with naturalistic facial features and a wreath of laurel leaves encircling the hair. The portrait is well-modelled with a strong jawline and slightly parted lips, characteristic of Apollonian iconography in the Aegean island coinage of the late 3rd to early 2nd century BC. The smooth field surrounds the effigy without inscription.
