| Obverse description | Bearded male head facing right, rendered in archaic Greek style with thick, flowing locks of hair and a pronounced brow. The portrait, likely representing Poseidon, the principal deity of Helike, is depicted with bold, somewhat crude relief characteristic of early Achaean bronze coinage.
