Obverse description Draped bust of Artemis facing right, her hair arranged in an elaborate bun atop her head and adorned with a pendant earring and pearl necklace. The portrait is rendered in the Hellenistic tradition characteristic of Cretan civic coinage of the early third century BC, with fine detail preserved in the facial features and jewelry. The field surrounding the effigy is plain.
