The Greek ethnic legend ΑΜΙΣΟΥ is inscribed in two segments below the central and flanking devices, reading across the lower portion of the field. The composition is well-balanced within the broad flan, characteristic of the civic bronze coinage of Amisos during the Mithridatic period. |
