Reverse description Draped bust of a female divinity, most likely a local nymph or goddess, shown in right profile with flowing hair rendered in fine parallel strands swept back from the forehead. The portrait is executed in a soft, rounded style typical of mid-fourth century BC Thessalian bronzes. The partial legend ΓΥ appears to the lower left in the field, serving as a precursor to the full ethnic inscription on the reverse. The flan shows the characteristic irregular fabric of hammered Thessalian bronze coinage of this period.
