Beschrijving voorzijde Heavily patinated obverse displaying a design largely obscured by encrustation and wear consistent with extended circulation and prolonged burial. The field exhibits a granular, uneven surface with areas of green and brown patina characteristic of ancient copper coinage. No discernible legend or inscription is visible on this face. The flan is irregular in outline, typical of hand-struck issues from Ionian mints of the late Classical period.

Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse presents a head of a griffin in profile facing left, rendered in low relief with the characteristic hooked beak and rounded skull of Phokaian coinage, the city's longstanding civic emblem. The griffin's eye is suggested by a raised pellet, and the curved neck terminates at the lower field. The surface is heavily corroded with a mixed green and tan patina, obscuring finer engraved details. No legend is present, in keeping with the anonymous small-denomination bronzes of Phokaia in this period. The flan edges are rough and irregular, as is typical of hammered provincial issues.
