| Beschrijving keerzijde | A bold cross pattée occupies the central field, its flared arms extending to a beaded inner circle that divides the design from the surrounding legend. The inscription ✠ BVRDEGIILΛ (Bordeaux), struck in rough Latin capitals, runs between the beaded circle and the coin's irregular outer edge, identifying the Bordeaux mint. The overall style is typical of Aquitainian feudal coinage of the early twelfth century. |
