| Beschrijving voorzijde | Architectural motif depicting a stylized fortified gateway or tower façade rendered in profile, with a beaded cornice separating the upper and lower registers. Above the cornice, an eagle displayed with spread wings is flanked by two standing figures, possibly saints or courtly attendants, positioned on either side of the central bird. In the lower register, a cross pattée enclosed within a wheel or roundel occupies the central arch, with crenellated or decorative elements to the right. The overall composition is characteristic of Moravian Romanesque die-cutting of the early 13th century. |

Vladislaus Henry ruled Moravia for an unusually long stretch by medieval Bohemian standards, surviving repeated succession crises within the Přemyslid dynasty to remain margrave until his death. His coinage, including this denier, was struck during a period when Moravia operated with meaningful administrative autonomy from Bohemia proper — a distinction that mattered politically even when the coins themselves circulated freely across both territories. Cach 880 is among the more frequently encountered of his types, suggesting sustained production across much of his reign rather than a single short issue.
