Vladislaus Henry ruled Moravia for an unusually long stretch by medieval Bohemian standards, surviving repeated succession crises within the Přemyslid dynasty to remain margrave until his death. His coinage, including this denier, was struck during a period when Moravia operated with meaningful administrative autonomy from Bohemia proper — a distinction that mattered politically even when the coins themselves circulated freely across both territories.
