Descrizione del rovescio	A short voided cross divides the field into four quarters, each containing a group of three pellets arranged in a triangle, a decorative motif typical of Carolingian-derived Low Countries deniers. The reverse legend FLARDIGA, identifying the Vlaardingen mint, is disposed around the cross within a beaded border. The strike is characteristically irregular, as expected for hammered coinage of this period.

Informazioni aggiuntive	Theoderic V ruled Holland through a period of persistent conflict with the Bishop of Utrecht, whose territorial claims over the Rhine delta kept the county in near-constant low-level warfare throughout the 1070s and 1080s. The Vlaardingen mint was one of the few revenue-generating instruments firmly under comital control during this pressure, making its output as much a political instrument as a commercial one.
