Obverse description A large central cross occupies the field, with four dots and four smaller crosses disposed alternately between the arms of the main cross. Two crescents are positioned flanking the terminal of each arm, their horns embracing the cross ends in a symmetrical arrangement characteristic of early Hungarian hammered coinage.

Reverse description A central cross divides the field into four quarters, each containing a wedge-shaped ornament within an inner beaded or line circle. The annular zone between the inner circle and an outer line circle is decorated with an alternating pattern of lines and small crosses, a decorative treatment typical of Árpád-dynasty deniers.
