| Descrizione del dritto | Central field dominated by a shield bearing the arms of Upper Alsace: a diagonal bend sinister charged with a row of pellets (bezants), flanked in the upper dexter and lower sinister cantons by stylized eagles or heraldic charges. The shield is enclosed within a plain inner circle, itself surrounded by a broad outer border composed of a continuous row of raised beads (pearl border). No legend is present; the design is entirely heraldic in character, consistent with the small hammered billon coinage of the late sixteenth-century Habsburg administration of Upper Alsace. |
