Obverse description Central cross pattée within a plain inner circle, dividing the field into four equal quarters. Surrounding the inner circle, a circular Latin legend reads the issuer's titles. The lettering is separated by fleurs-de-lis as punctuation marks. The overall style is characteristic of medieval hammered billon coinage of the Latin principalities.
