| Obverse description | Crowned and draped bust of Philip III facing right, rendered in the crude hammered style characteristic of late 16th- to early 17th-century Catalan municipal coinage. The portrait is set within a roughly circular field typical of irregularly struck copper deniers. The surrounding Latin legend reads +PHILIPVS·D·G·HISPA·, identifying the monarch as Philip, King of the Spains by the Grace of God. The overall strike is weak in areas, resulting in partially visible design elements, consistent with the artisanal hammered technique employed at the Olot Mint.
