Reverse description Central device consisting of the crowned arms of Aragon — a shield bearing four vertical pales — surmounted by a royal crown, rendered in a bold if somewhat crude hammered style. The escutcheon is flanked by the letters N and G on either side of the field, serving as mintmark elements associated with Granollers. A circular Latin legend, VILLA GRANV, surrounds the central device within a beaded border, identifying the issuing municipality of Granollers. The overall composition is compact and heraldic, occupying most of the available flan. The reverse exhibits the same irregular planchet and low-relief characteristics common to municipal Catalan deniers of the reign of Philip III.
