| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central plain cross with a pellet in each of the four angles, all enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding legend is arranged in two lines reading outward, separated by the inner beaded border. The design is characteristic of Carolingian hammered coinage, struck on an irregularly shaped flan with somewhat uneven letter spacing. A small cross pattée appears at the top of the coin, serving as an interpunct within the legend. |
