Obverse description Central cross pattée surrounded by four pellets (bezants) in the angles, all enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The peripheral legend, rendered in Latin majuscules, reads around the outer field. The design is bold and stylized, characteristic of Ottonian hammered coinage, with a pronounced beaded (grenetis) border framing the entire composition.
