Reverse description The civic coat of arms of Vic occupies the central field, struck in a rough hammered style typical of Catalan siege and emergency coinage of the period. The shield device is enclosed between an inner solid circle and an outer beaded border. A Latin legend surrounds the design, incorporating the mint city name and date, reading CIVITAS · VICEN · 1642 ·, introduced by a cross pattée. The overall execution is irregular, consistent with the improvised production methods employed during the Reapers' War.
