The cross is boldly struck in high relief and serves as the primary device, consistent with standard feudal denier typology of medieval France. A beaded inner border frames the central cross, beyond which the circumferential legend is struck in uncial characters. The flan is irregular and slightly clipped at the edges, as is common for hammered billon deniers of this period and region. |
