| Reverse description | Facing schematic bust of a ruler or bishop depicted in a primitive yet forceful style, surrounded by a beaded inner circle from which radiating lines extend toward the periphery, evoking a solar or radiate motif. The facial features are rendered in a highly stylized manner consistent with early medieval Bohemian die-cutting practices. A Latin legend in large, irregularly spaced letters encircles the design in the outer field, partially legible on this example. The composition closely follows the iconographic conventions established for Premyslid deniers of the early eleventh century. |
