Surrounding the inner circle is a Latin legend in retrograde or irregular characters, partially readable, disposed around the circumference. The lettering style is characteristic of early medieval Bohemian coinage, with irregular, somewhat crude letter forms typical of the hammered deniers of the Premyslid dynasty. |

Jaromír ruled Bohemia three times — his reign repeatedly interrupted by his brother Boleslav III and by Polish occupation under Boleslav I Chrobry, who seized Bohemia in 1003 and held it until 1004. The political instability of these decades makes attributing deniers to specific sub-periods within the 1003–1034 span genuinely difficult, and Cach 273 sits in a sequence where die-linkage studies remain the primary tool for narrowing chronology.
Jaromír was eventually blinded and imprisoned by his own brother — the coins predating that final deposition are the last issued under his name.
