Obverse description Central field features the mint name PRAGA arranged in two lines within a beaded inner circle, reading PRA above OA (an abbreviated form of Praga). Surrounding the inner circle is a Latin legend in retrograde or irregular characters, partially readable, disposed around the circumference. The lettering style is characteristic of early medieval Bohemian coinage, with irregular, somewhat crude letter forms typical of the hammered deniers of the Premyslid dynasty.
