| Beschrijving voorzijde | Crude facing bust of King Henry II, helmeted and draped, rendered in the simplified Ottonian stylistic tradition typical of early medieval German coinage. The effigy occupies the central field, with the facial features schematically depicted in low relief. The surrounding circular legend reads HEINRICVS REX, identifying the ruler as King Henry.
