| Obverse description | Central field dominated by a schematic church or temple façade rendered in the Ottonian tradition, depicted with a triangular gabled roof surmounted by a cross finial and flanked by stylised architectural elements. Below the gable, the nave is represented by a horizontal band bearing letters, evoking the arcade or portal of the structure. The design is executed in bold, flat relief characteristic of early eleventh-century hammered pfennige. The surrounding circular legend is partially legible around the irregular flan, with letterforms in the Carolingian-influenced majuscule script of the period. |

| Reverse description | Central motif consists of a plain cross with globules or pellets adorning each of the four angles, set within a beaded inner circle, a type characteristic of Ottonian imperial coinage of the early eleventh century. The cross arms are boldly struck and extend to the inner circle, dividing the central field into four quarters. The surrounding circumscription, running clockwise in Latin majuscule lettering around the outer field of the irregularly shaped flan, records the mint city name. The overall composition reflects the standardised reverse design employed at imperial mints under Henry II. |
