| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field displays a heraldic shield bearing a left-facing lion rampant, the arms of the Duchy of Brabant, rendered in the crude but vigorous style characteristic of mid-13th century hammered coinage. The shield occupies most of the flan and is surrounded by a beaded inner border. A partial Latin legend reading . H`DV CIS (abbreviated for Henricus Dux, meaning Henry, Duke) runs around the periphery, partially visible due to the irregular striking of the flan. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | A bold Brabantine cross with splayed, wedge-shaped arms divides the reverse field into four quarters, each containing one letter of the moneyer's name. The letters B, A, S, and T are placed individually in the four angles of the cross, identifying the moneyer responsible for the issue. The design is enclosed within a beaded border, and the overall execution reflects the hammered technique typical of feudal Low Countries coinage of the 13th century. |
