Obverse description Central field occupied by a schematic architectural or epigraphic design rendered in a primitive Romanesque style, composed of multiple horizontal and vertical elements suggestive of a stylised inscription or monogram. The design is enclosed within a roughly defined inner border, with the whole occupying most of the flat, irregularly struck flan. The relief is bold but crudely executed, consistent with 13th-century Franconian hammered coinage. No peripheral legend is discernible on this side.
