| Beschrijving voorzijde | Facing bust of Bishop Ekbert of Andechs rendered in the Romanesque style, depicted with a mitre-like headgear and a stiff frontal posture with schematic facial features. The figure is framed by elaborate curvilinear scrollwork and foliate ornaments filling the surrounding field, with rosette or mullet devices interspersed among the decorative tendrils. The composition is typical of early 13th-century south German episcopal bracteate coinage, characterized by bold relief, irregular flan, and a highly stylized, almost hieratic treatment of the episcopal effigy.
