| Description du revers | As a bracteate, the reverse presents the incuse mirror image of the obverse type, showing the negative impression of the episcopal bust and surrounding foliate scrollwork pressed through the thin silver flan during the hammering process. The reverse field displays the characteristic shallow, ghost-like relief inherent to single-die bracteate production, with rosette ornaments and curvilinear tendrils visible in incuse form. Star-shaped or mullet devices are discernible to the left of the central figure. The irregular flan edge is typical of hand-cut bracteate planchets of this period and region. |
