Reverse description A stylized cross with lozenge- or pellet-shaped terminals is depicted at the centre, enclosed within a raised inner circle. The four quadrants between the cross arms and the inner ring are occupied by letters forming the mint name, distributed around the field in the manner typical of Ottonian-era German deniers. The overall execution is rough and characteristic of hammered provincial coinage of the Meissen margravate.
