Obverse description Frontal bust of the archbishop in pontifical vestments, wearing a mitre, depicted in a schematic, romanesque style typical of Friesach coinage. The figure is flanked on each side by a small cross, with pellets in the upper field to either side of the head. The entire design is enclosed within a double beaded border. No legend is present, the iconography alone serving to identify the issuing authority.
