Obverse description Frontal bust of the bishop within a beaded inner circle, rendered in crude relief characteristic of early medieval hammered coinage. The effigy is depicted holding a staff or scepter, with a stylized face showing large eyes and schematic facial features. The surrounding field is filled with a roughly incised legend reading CVNO EPS, identifying the issuer as Bishop Cunon. The overall composition is enclosed within a double or beaded border typical of Ottonian-era episcopal deniers.
