| Beschrijving keerzijde | Within a beaded inner circle, a plain Latin cross with equal arms occupies the central field, its shaft and crossbar clearly defined against the flat coin surface. The field surrounding the cross within the inner circle is open and unadorned. A circular Latin legend reading the mint name EBROCAS CIVITAS (City of Evreux) surrounds the beaded border, with letter forms consistent with Carolingian minuscule practice. The legend is introduced by a cross pattée, and the lettering is boldly struck, characteristic of the reformed Carolingian denier type established at Pîtres. |
