The letters are boldly rendered in the angular majuscule style characteristic of early Carolingian ecclesiastical coinage. A beaded border encircles the design, consistent with the obverse. The coin's attribution to the Amiens mint is confirmed by the hagiographic reference to Saint Firmin, the first bishop and patron saint of Amiens. |
