| Opis rewersu | The reverse bears the dedicatory legend of the church of Saint Firmin (Sancti Firmini) of Amiens, inscribed in three lines across the field beneath a horizontal bar: SCI in the upper line, FIRMI in the middle line, and NI in the lower line, the latter accompanied by a church symbol. The letters are boldly rendered in the angular majuscule style characteristic of early Carolingian ecclesiastical coinage. A beaded border encircles the design, consistent with the obverse. The coin's attribution to the Amiens mint is confirmed by the hagiographic reference to Saint Firmin, the first bishop and patron saint of Amiens. |
