| Obverse description | Facing bust of the bishop in high relief, wearing a mitre or crown-like headdress, with stylized facial features characteristic of Romanesque ecclesiastical coinage. The figure is depicted frontally with schematic drapery visible at the shoulders and a crosier held to one side. A circular legend surrounds the central effigy, separated by a beaded inner border. The die work is typical of early 12th-century Westphalian hammered coinage, with bold if somewhat crude engraving. |

The overall design is emblematic of Ottonian and Salian ecclesiastical pfennig coinage of the Westphalian region, executed in a robust if irregular hammered style. |
