| Obverse description | Single-sided bracteate struck on a thin flan exhibiting characteristic concave cupping. The central device depicts a frontal facing eagle's head rendered in low relief, with stylized feathering and prominent eyes, surrounded by a plain raised inner ring. The design is characteristic of Moravian bracteate coinage of the late 13th century, executed in a bold, simplified heraldic style. Wenceslaus II ruled Moravia as margrave under the broader Přemyslid dominion, and the bracteate deniers of this period reflect a monetary tradition already fading across much of Central Europe — thin, single-sided striking on broad flans had largely given way to double-sided coinage in most neighboring territories by this point. Moravia held on longer than most.
