The crown is positioned centrally within the field and enclosed by a continuous border of raised pellets or bosses arranged in a circle, conforming to the irregular flan edge. The design is characteristic of the bracteate coinage of Danish Reval, exhibiting the bold, simple heraldic style typical of 13th–14th century Baltic penny issues.
