Obverse description Uniface bracteate struck in thin silver sheet displaying, in low relief against a slightly concave field, an architectural composition consisting of a crenellated tower or gatehouse to the left, surmounted by a domed or pyramidal roof, flanked to the right by a heraldic eagle displayed with spread wings. Additional decorative or symbolic elements appear between the two principal motifs. The design is rendered in the characteristic bold, simplified style of Moravian bracteate coinage of the mid-thirteenth century, with the imagery contained within an irregular round flan showing the typical wavy edge of hammered bracteate production.
Obverse script Latin
