The figure is rendered in a stylized Romanesque manner characteristic of Polish medieval bracteate coinage, with simplified facial features and schematic drapery. A border of pellets encircles the entire design, and an outer ring of retrograde or debased Latin lettering runs around the periphery. The overall composition is typical of late 12th-century Greater Polish deniers, with the ruler's image serving as the primary identifying device. |

The reverse therefore presents a sunken, reversed reflection of the obverse design, with no independent design or legend. The thin silver flan exhibits the characteristic slight warping and irregular outline associated with hammered bracteate production of medieval Poland. |
