| Reverse description | As a bracteate, this coin is struck from a single die on a thin silver flan, producing an incuse mirror image on the reverse of the obverse design. The reverse therefore exhibits a concave, recessed impression of the eagle motif visible on the obverse, with the striated wing feathers and central column appearing in negative relief. The surrounding raised circular border is similarly visible in reverse as a concave channel. The surface shows the characteristic thinness and slight curvature inherent to bracteate manufacture, with no independent reverse design. |
